Social Hostel Manager Wanted
We are a vibrant, social hostel that welcomes travelers from around the world. Our goal is to create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where guests feel at home and have memorable experiences. We're looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and hands-on Hostel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the hostel and help build an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the hostel.
Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure guests have a welcoming and enjoyable stay.
Oversee check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest communications.
Lead, train, and support hostel staff and volunteers where applicable.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation throughout the property.
Coordinate housekeeping and maintenance schedules.
Organize and promote social events and activities that encourage a friendly community atmosphere.
Monitor stock levels and order supplies as required.
Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local regulations.
Assist with budgeting, reporting, and operational planning.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in hospitality, hostel, hotel, tourism, or customer service.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude.
Comfortable living on-site and being part of a social hostel environment.
Fluent English (additional languages are an advantage).
Valid right to work in the European Union.
General maintenance or handyman skills, including basic plumbing, painting, minor repairs, or DIY maintenance but not a requirement.
