Jack in the Green is a small, cozy backpackers hostel located in the alpine village of Hanmer Springs, on the south island of New Zealand. The accommodation consists of both shared and private rooms. The shared rooms have made up single beds (no bunks!), and the private rooms are en suite. Spare blankets and heaters are also available.
Hanmer Springs is famous for its hot thermal pools, just a short walk away, but also has many other outdoor adventures. The beautiful alpine setting is perfect for both summer and winter visits to Jack in the Green. On a warm summer night, relax in the peaceful garden, or curl up in the lounge next to the log fire in winter. The hostel also comes with a fully equipped kitchen, off street parking, and fast wifi is available.
