Little Bucharest Old Town Hostel

Having the best location possible – it is the only hostel located in the pedestrian old town city center – Little Bucharest has been designed especially for backpackers and young travelers, active, vibrant people who want to be part of the action-packed downtown area.

The building in which we’re located has a long history; a neoclassical style edifice, it’s been built in 1902 and for most of its time standing it hosted banks. Right across the street you in fact will find the National Bank of Romania, so you can be sure security is not an issue. You will find us at the second floor of this emblematic building (careful, for the time being, the ELEVATOR IS OUT OF ORDER!) situated at the crossroads of the main pedestrian streets of the old town, Lipscani and Smardan. We are within walking distance from the two most important metro stops, which connect you to all areas of the city.

Just by going down the stairs you’ll stumble upon hundreds of bars, pubs, restaurants, clubs, shops, art galleries, theaters. Also, in within walking distance from us you can find the National History museum, the Palace of Parliament, the most chic park in Bucharest – Cișmigiu and many more of Bucharest’s important landmarks.

Little Bucharest provides excellent service, as it is run by travel conscious staff. The owners too are well-traveled people, with a long history of hostel based housing experience. While they are not traveling at the moment, they still enjoy the environment of a hostel and meeting new people here, in Romania. This passion drove them to founding a network of hostels – Pura Vida Hostels: 2 in Bucharest (Peaches and Little Bucharest), two at the seaside in Vama Veche, Pura Vida Beach Hostel and Pura Vida Breeze Hostel, and one in the old mountain region of Bucovina, Dor de Bucovina. All these hostels form the network of Pura Vida Hostels.
