Volunteers wanted for our 18 bed room hostel in rural Spanish, working with our native Spanish speaking Managers

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Free Accommodation and small weekly food allowance. Summer 2019.

We are looking for flexible, easy going and dynamic individuals to volunteer with us in our rural hostel in Andalusia, Southern Spain, volunteering along side our Native Spanish, speaking Managers.

Initially for minimum of 2 weeks , and if you are experienced in working and living in hostels up-to a maximum of 3 months - to work with the management team to help with the day to running of a rural hostel, i.e. cleaning, maintenance, guest hospitality and if with the necessary skills, social media campaigns, computer work and reception work. We are on a drive to increase revenues, increase our popularity to the travelling and back packing community by making this the go-to place in Andalusia for backpackers, sun seekers and adventurers alike.
The business has been established for 15 years but has been marketed as a Hostel for the last two seasons. We are expecting a continuing upward trend in occupancy and are looking for social volunteers who understand and enjoy hostels and how they work.

The area offers a real cultural experience with historic attractions and towns nearby, and adventures such as the Camino del Rey which is only 30 minutes away, Game of Thrones museum in Osuna. We are looking for the successful applicants to continue creating the fun vibe of the hostel.
There are of course the day to day tasks that need to be carried out: daily cleaning, basic maintenance, assisting managers with checking in, checking out, welcoming guests and ensuring that guests are looked after.
Essential Skills: Good communication skills, you will be required to work under direction from the managers, the other staff and volunteers, and make guests feel included and valued.
Good English speaking skills essential, Spanish speaking skills needed, other languages advantageous.
Good common sense in tackling difficult situations and able and happy to put your hands to anything from painting, cleaning, customers, locals and any maintenance care people.
To be clear, the hostel is small, in a rural location with 18-20 beds – a combination of dorms and private rooms – offering a small and intimate experience unlike some inner city multi-dorm hostels with hundreds of beds.

We can offer Free Accommodation, a small food allowance, use of the staff kitchen, lounge personal space and bedroom/dormitory, plus shared living/communal areas with WiFi included. The facilities can of course be used by the staff including the swimming pool.
