Be part of our cosy little hostel in Northern Ireland's capital!

***AVAILABILITY NOW UNTIL JUNE 20th***
We also have space after August 2022!

Hello hello, from the Emerald Isle! :)

We're a tiny (18-bed) hostel in Belfast, Northern Ireland, looking for lovely volunteers!
We've hosted volunteers for years, and love the atmosphere they help create :)
This is Belfast's smallest and quietest hostel (*not* a party hostel!!), we usually know all our guests by name, and just love to get cosy in the living room and chat to people from all over the world over a cup of tea and some banana bread!

Belfast is an interesting city, and is also a fantastic base for exploring the rest of Northern Ireland.
We'll send you on a free day-trip to some of our most famous sights- the Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge, and the Dark Hedges! You're always welcome to swap shifts around, so you can take overnight trips to beautiful places nearby. There's also a great bus service to Dublin, perfect for a day trip or overnight stay!

Accomodation is in a small volunteer room (bunk bed), shared with one other volunteer.
We have a super kitchen, with 2 cookers, ovens, microwave, and all cooking essentials. There is a staff fridge, so your snacks don't get taken by a sneaky little guest!
You can do your laundry for free, and we provide a free hostel breakfast (bread, fruit, cereals, milk, vegan milk, orange & apple juice, tea, herbal teas, coffee)

The help we're looking for is a bit of everything, from basic cleaning and tidying, to guest check-ins and replying to emails. All training is provided, so if you don't have relevant experience, don't worry!
Enthusiasm for helping your fellow humans, and a can-do attitude are the most important qualities here. :)
Shifts are flexible, usually we work to a shedule of 2 days doing a shift, then the 3rd day off, then 2 more days doing a shift, 6th day off, etc etc.
We have two types of shift- Morning (cleaning, guest checkouts) and afternoon (guest checkins, laundry, chilling with a good book..), you'll usually do a morning shift one day, an afternoon shift the next day, and have the third day off. :D
We all work hard, help each other out, and relax a lot! Afternoon shift is very easy (most days!), most often we spend half the shift eating doughnuts and reading books. Or laughing at terrible Irish music.

If you're interested, please get in touch, and let us know your name, age, experience with hostels (staying, volunteering or working!), and a little more about yourself! We'd love to have you in our little team!

We can accept volunteers for a minimum of 4-weeks
