We are BED, Sri Lanka's first and finest party hostel in the heart of bustling Colombo.
In a country emerging rapidly to the backpacking route, BED is passionate about guest experience. We combine a great location with design-led common areas, garden, fast and free wifi and computers, bikes, breakfast and kitchen, and events (at least!) once per day. Most importantly, we have friendly, knowledgeable staff.
An internship at BED is your opportunity to learn about various aspects of the hospitality industry, including event planning and running, travel planning, front desk, and working with local businesses and online resources. It is also a chance to join a rapidly-growing hostel brand -- and possibly to become a manager of the next BED hostel.
We offer interns free room and board, in exchange for 20 hours of work per week (organized into 4 5-hour shifts). In a small country like Sri Lanka, that means lots of time to explore while still having a great base to return to in Colombo.
