Job Description.
Oliver’s Travels: General Manager
To make Ollie’s successful by getting it on track with:
1. quality service, food and drinks, including monitoring and reporting on customer feedback.
2. Attracting tourists and retaining local customers through promotions, events, parties, banter and service,
3. Managing online presence and reputation with tools such as facebook, tripadvisor etc
4. Managing relationships with key influencers such as hostels, tour guides, activity guides, and strategic business partners
the objective is to steadily increase sales and profitability.
The manager must also work with the business owners to implement suggestions, report on activities, and provide feedback on initiatives.
Requirements:
Foreign – Preferably English
Outgoing/Chatty/Fun
Organized
Bar Experience
Know when to stop drinking and focus on getting others to drink.
Enjoy Sports ... and know a lot about them.
Willing to Commit to at least 9 months of work.
Responsibilities:
Have events, entertainment, and parties planned throughout the month
Promote the bar, it’s events, and parties throughout La Paz and via the internet.
Reviewing/Reporting financial reports
Quality Control of the entire bar/restaurant
Deliver excellent customer service and customer management at all times
Training employees in customer service standards
Monitor and control Customer Service
Ensure procedures and systems are followed by all staff at all times in all areas of the bar
Develop and Manage the company Web Presence
Develop and Manage Hostal Relations
Recruit foreign bar staff
Interview, train, monitor, incentivize, and manage all staff
Maximise all sales opportunities
Review all stock management processes, including timely stock counts, line checks, wastage reports, loss investigation and staff training.
Complete product ordering, and ensuring full stock of all products
Ensure maintenance and good standing order of facilities
report and meet with the owners on a regular basis
Wages (negotiable):
monthly salary
With profit shares and incentives
Visa bonus (cover the costs of your visa after staying 9 months)
Free room upstairs
Optional Sweat Equity for a percentage of ownership for a long term commitment after a successful first year.
Option to get involved in other projects in La Paz.
