Experienced Management Couple required, Yorkshire Dales UK accommodation provided

We are now looking to take on a General Management Couple to oversee the day to day operation of the outdoor accommodation business.

The purpose of this post is to ensure that the customer expectations are met and that the business thrives in a successful manner. We envisage that the couple will have had experience in either a B&B establishment, hostel, hotel or pub. They will need to be self motivated, hard working, flexible with general all round hands on experience and with a keen eye for detail.

Dalesbridge is an Outdoor Recreation, and Event Centre, specialising in providing accommodation to groups and individuals. The facilities include seven bed & breakfast rooms (accommodating up to 15 people in en suite rooms), eight self catering bunkhouses comprising of six and four bedded units each with their own private toilet and shower and a large campsite with separate washing up facilities and provision for electric hook up.

Dalesbridge also has two large function rooms used for special occasion parties, conferences, wedding receptions and meetings, and a well stocked residents bar ideal for presentations and parties.

Our clients vary from individuals, family’s, schools and youth organisations, through to corporate and management training groups. Our objective is to provide a centre of excellence, with customer care our main priority.

The working week varies around client requirements; however, a large degree of flexibility will be required with regard to hours. We would expect those employed to work weekends and bank holidays, with time off mid week. Split shifts may also at times be necessary.

A well appointed recently refurbished staff flat will be provided rent free and inclusive of all bills. Basic joint salary will be in the region of £25,000 to £30,000 per annum based on experience and expertise. In addition there is a generous performance related bonus scheme which is based on business turnover.

GENERAL MANAGEMENT COUPLE
Main Duties

Administration/ Reception
Assist in the staffing of reception
Answer incoming calls when reception is unmanned
Take bookings and utilise computerised booking system
Welcome guests on arrival and show them to their accommodation
General Front of House duties
Ordering bar, catering and cleaning supplies

Housekeeping
Supervising and undertaking cleaning operations at Dalesbridge to include:
Bedrooms
Bunkhouses
Bar
Functions rooms
Kitchens
Campsite facilities

Bar
Serving behind the bar as and when required

Catering
Preparation and serving of breakfasts and supervision of group catering for functions

General Maintenance
Ensure that the grounds and gardens are kept clean and tidy, free of litter
Assist with mowing of the camp fields on a regular basis
Occasional minor maintenance
