Experienced Organic Gardener Needed... Puerto Escondido Mexico.
Needed ASAP:
*Experienced organic gardener for long term work exchange at a vegetarian beach hostel in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Osa Mariposa hostel maintains 3 properties in desperate need of a capable and hard-working gardener with plenty of experience in tropical climates. We maintain both ornamental and food producing plants at all 3 locations (all located on 1 street). The hostel has a vegetarian restaurant and we compost all the scraps from the kitchen along with the organic trash from the gardens.
We hope to expand onto our roof-top terrace and begin producing herbs for the kitchen there.
The work requires thorough experience and knowledge of organic plant care, planting, and composting. Applicants must be hard-working, honest, and focused with a positive attitude.
This is a "volunteer" position consisting of 5 hours of work per day, 5-6 days a week, in exchange for bed, 3 meals a day, and employee discount on alcoholic beverages. Possibility exists to earn some cash for long term or extremely experienced workers.
