Hostel Manager in Austin TX

We’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused Hostel Manager to lead daily operations and create a welcoming, well-run environment for travelers from around the world.

Responsibilities:

Oversee front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest experience
Hire, train, and manage staff and volunteers
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality
Manage bookings, inventory, vendor relationships, and cash handling
Respond to guest issues and maintain a positive atmosphere
Coordinate community events, tours, and in-house activities
Monitor reviews and guest feedback to continually improve the hostel
Qualifications:

Hospitality or customer service experience required
Leadership experience in a fast-paced setting
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to problem-solve and keep calm under pressure
Tech-savvy and comfortable using booking systems and spreadsheets
Passion for travel, community, and hosting people from diverse backgrounds
Schedule: Full-time with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
