Paid position (reception and light cleaning) on Croatian island Paradise!
Our hostel is located right in the centre of Hvar town on Hvar Island. Hvar is one of Croatias most beautiful islands and is a very popular destination for travellers who come seeking Sun, beaches, and the legendary island nightlife. In the day, guests enjoy stunning beaches, amazing water filled caves and hidden island coves. When the sun goes down, the party goes off at famous locations like Hula Hula beach, Carpe Diem club and the island even hosts the ULTRA Europe festival afterparty in July.
We are looking for one super-enthusiastic staff member to join our little hostel family as soon as possible to help out with reception and do some light cleaning.
The reception work is fun and laid back, in short it involves just being on reception and checking guests in and out. You will also have to be fun and enthusiastic around guests and recommend them the best places to see and activities to do here on the island. In exchange for your work and time at the hostel, we will provide you with meals from our popular restaurant (located next door to the hostel) as well as an apartment just 5 minutes walk away from the hostel. The reception work will be around 30 hours a week but it is not at all hard work and you will have plenty of time off to explore the island.
The cleaning is at our guest apartment nearby the hostel and will include some reception work. Typically once a week you will have to visit for a few hours only to clean the room (it is quite small), make beds, water the flowers and greet new guests / check them in. In exchange for the cleaning work, we can offer 200 euros a month of spending money just to enhance your time here on Hvar. This is in addition to your free food and accommodation from working in the hostel.
We need one person to fill both of these positions ASAP and stay for at least 2 months. The ideal candidate will speak fluent English (any other languages are a plus) be hard working and dedicated to customer satisfaction, but also knows how to chill out and take on real Croatian island life.
