Yamanyá Backpackers is a brand new hostel in Cusco - we strive for professional service with a personal touch, and want the hostel to be a home for our guests.
Right now we're looking for staff for the bar, promotions and in-house tour agency.
The bar work is four hours a day, six days a week anytime from breakfast through to close (at 1 am). We mix the hours up a bit so everybody has to take a turn with breakfast, and nobody gets stuck with it all week long. In return for your work, you get your bed in the staff dorm, breakfast and either lunch or dinner, and 30% discount in the bar. Plus all the facilities of the hostel - super-hot showers with high pressure, internet and wifi, big-screen TV, and, best of all, in a month we'll have a giant, heated jacuzzi. We ask for at least a month's commitment.
For promotions we need someone to take charge of facebook, twitter, flickr, the blog, and any and all social media / promotional work we may dream up. Like bar staff, its four hours a day, six days a week, with all the associated perks. We'd like you to stick around for at least three months, though, and have some experience with writing and internet marketing. A decent level of Spanish would be helpful as well.
The tour agency job demands a high level of Spanish, and longer hours (it will come with a salary to compensate). We need you to plan to be in Cusco long-term, and a knowledge of the area and its tourism opportunities would be very beneficial. Experience in the industry will also be a big help.
