Has anybody from America worked abroad in a paid position and if so, how did you do it? It seems like most hostels/bed and breakfasts (at least in Europe) want people who are already EU citizens. I get that they don’t want to sponsor Americans on work visas because it’s a lot of work and a long process, but are Americans destined to be forever volunteers?
