Activities Manager needed in Cusco, Peru
Yamanyá Backpackers will be opening in early July and will be the only hostel in Cusco, Peru, with a heated stone swimming pool. We're also planning a kick-ass bar. It's a beautiful three-patio house five minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas.
We're looking for someone with conversation English and preferably a reasonable level of Spanish as well, who's outgoing, hardworking, and dedicated to making sure our guest have an amazing time.
You'll be required to organise and accompany activities like horse-riding in the Sacred Valley, yoga classes, pub crawls, poker nights, city tours and so on. Above all you need to be creative and think of new and interesting activities to keep the schedule varied.
You'll also need to help out with social networking and maintaining the blog.
This will be a fairly full-on job, 6 days a week although we'll be flexible and if you want to take off travelling for a couple of days here and there it can be negotiated. You'll get your bed in the staff dorm, free breakfast and dinner and a 50% discount in the hostel bar on food and booze AND you'll also be paid a decent monthly rate (although we are talking Peruvian soles here).
We need somebody who's willing to make a four-month minimum commitment. Visa runs aren't too much hassle, as visa runs go - night bus to La Paz and back.
Please get in touch with me, camden [at] yamanya.com with a photo, details of bar or hostel experience, references, etc, etc. Although we're not open yet, we're looking for someone ASAP as there's plenty to do to get this show on the road.
