Hostel manager needed in London

We are looking for a new motivated Hostel manager at The Arsenal Tavern Backpackers

You will love London, know your market and have the ability, enthusiasm and self-motivation to create a unique environment that backpackers will love.

It is a very hands on role and you will lead by displaying a strong work ethic

We are looking for someone with previous hostel management experience, ideally in a large city.

Staff Training and Management
Train the staff
Ensure team morale and motivation
Request feedback and ideas from each team member
Staff selection
Maintain files on all team members
Facilitate conflict resolution between staff member
Schedules

Reception and Customer Service duties
We use Cloudbeds for our PMS
Conduct check-in and checkout procedures
Interact with guests
Respond to emails
Record and respond to guest concerns
Maintain accurate reservation information
Update bed allocation for online booking sites

Housekeeping & Maintenance
Ensure quality standards for cleanliness
Organize and implement a rotating schedule for deep cleaning each area of the hostel
Carry out minor maintenance
Submit a list of major maintenance issues

Entertainment, Atmosphere, Activities
Create and follow a plan to maintain the desired atmosphere in the hostel
Organize and execute activities and special events
