Tours Internship at the Abraham Tours (Israel)
Started by a group of international travelers and backpackers, Abraham Hostels & Tours was founded in Jerusalem in order to create a home for independent travelers in Israel and the Middle East. Our vision is to provide an exceptional traveling experience for independent travelers - from backpackers to couples, families and small groups. We aim to meet all needs of backpacking globetrotters, from an affordable bed and trustworthy tours to travel information, language classes, bike rentals and memorable in-house events.
The Tours Intern position is geared towards someone with a high degree of initiative and the ability to lead projects independently. Projects will include participating, analyzing and researching our tours as case studies, giving feedback on existing and pilot tours (in order to give a travelers perspective) and spot checking, as well as various research tasks with marketing and business tools.
The position is based at the Abraham Hostel in Jerusalem, working 5 days a week and requires a weekly visit to our Tel Aviv hostel as well as one week minimum stay at the Fauzi Azar Inn for the duration of the internship. The transportation between these locations will be covered by us.

The Tours intern will get a bed in a shared room (mixed dorms) with private toilet & shower, free breakfast, free WiFi, free laundry once a week, discounts on our bar menu and much more. We encourage our volunteers and interns to go on our tours which they get for free (based on availability) and also to stay in other hostels around Israel, most of them for free or with a major discount.
Qualifications:
- Age 21-40
- A 6-9 week commitment
- Excellent English
- Avid traveler
- Self-motivated
- Flexibility
- Independence
- Experience in the Tourism fields - a plus
- Experience in carrying out research / surveys - a plus
- Current university or graduate student, or graduated from university or graduate school, preferably in the fields of Travel and Tourism, Statistics, Marketing - a plus
