Backpacker Hostel
High Potential Hostel in Salvador for Sale

D’Boa Hostel started 2 years ago in Salvador de Bahia, in Barra district.

After a year and a half we’ve become the hostel reference in the city.

During the first year we got a good occupation rate (more than 60%), and up to 100% during the high season.

The hostel has earned a very good reputation all over South America through the word of mouth. We have nice reviews in reservation networks (Hostelworld, Booking, AirBnB, Facebook and Trip Advisor).

D’Boa is an authentic hostel and an open cultural space, made by travellers and for travellers.

In addition to being a reference in hosting backpackers, D’Boa is also known as a cultural space in Salvador nightlife. It is an open space where anybody can express its art and culture in the Small stage in the front.

We organise various activities and weekly events for more than a year, with food nights, live music, dance, theatre, circus, poetry, paintings and game nights. All of these events take place at a front terrace, which is the soul of the hostel, a really comfortable place that makes travellers feel like home.

We are located in the heart of Barra, the touristic district of Salvador, 2 blocks away from the new waterfront, near the lighthouse and the beaches of Barra. The hostel is 5 min away from the Shopping Barra; we are surrounded by restaurants, supermarkets, banks, beaches, bus stops with direct connection with other touristic points (Pelourinho, Rio Vermelho, airport, city bus station).

Salvador is an Olympic city for JO Rio 2016 (football games). Booking rates will skyrocket during the games and afterwards with all the olympic guests continuing to travel.

Salvador is the largest New Year’s Eve celebration in Brazil: the party lasts for 5 days after which the high season kicks off. With all the above, the hostel gets full2 months in advance: some 3,500 USD income only from accommodation in 5 days.

Salvador is the Carnaval of Bahia: 6 days of carnival + 4—5 days of pre-carnival. The world’s biggest street party (Guinness’s Book) is just 2 blocks away from the hostel.

We are sold out about 2 months ahead the event (10,000 USD income in 6 days), but you get all the people looking for accommodation during the carnival, so there are many ways to make it profitable (extra 4,000 USD last year).

High season (December-February): 90-100% occupation.

The hostel bar is known in Salvador for its weekly live music events. On Fridays it becomes a cultural space, with circus, music, theatre, exhibitions and documentary projections.

The hostel has 28 beds in 6 rooms with private bathrooms in every room.

It is possible to build up another room and expand the capacity up to 45—50 beds.

We have a cosy front terrace with hammocks, sofa, big tables, a bar and a stage with music sound system. Other spaces include a reception hall, a big and well equipped kitchen and an open space in the quieter backyard with plants and wall paintings by traveling artists who presented their art to D’Boa.

The hostel is 100% equipped, running well already. This is a great opportunity for business and personal growth. D’Boa has a really high potential in the medium and long term.

We want to sell the hostel because, being travellers ourselves, we feel that we need to be back on the road for new experience and travels. We are looking for people with the same spirit who want to run a good business and make it live like it should be.
