Roatan Backpackers' Hostel

Roatan Backpackers Hostel is a small, friendly hostel located on the beautiful island of Roatan. We are on a residential side street in Sandy Bay, a 3 min walk to the Sandy Bay beach, with exceptional snorkeling a 200 meter swim out, 5 min walk to the Carambola Botanical Garden as well as to the dolphins and Anthony's Key Resort, and a 5 min bus ride (about $1) to West End. A well-run dive shop, Octopus Divers, is located about a 15 min walk away.

The hostel includes dorm rooms with individual fans on each bunk, private loft rooms with shared bathroom, both with access to the communal kitchen, and private apartments with their own bathrooms and kitchens. Most of the hostel's energy is produced through solar panels, and there is solar-heated hot water. The hostel grounds include a pool and patio area, a second patio area with pergola, lots of hammocks, and an oceanview deck. There are several inexpensive eateries a short walk from the hostel.

Rates:

Rates start at $10/night per person in dorms. Privates range from $15-$45/night. Holiday rates apply for Christmas, New Years and Semana Santa. Some private options have optional a/c for a surcharge.
