It wasn’t easy coming-up with a knockout name like BARequipa. We put our best brains on the case, loosened them up with a few beers and and let rip. Thousands of names dropped out of our brainstorming session and, worryingly, BARequipa was the best.
Anyway, what about the bar? It’s the hub of the house and it sells drinks of a mostly alcoholic nature. It’s responsible for many missed buses and planes, bad heads, memory losses, bed wettings and memorable encounters with the opposite sex (usually).
So we happily invite you to pay a visit to BARequipa and commit some crimes against good taste!Rates:
Large dorm – up to 8 pp. – S/. 24 soles, around $8
Small dorm – up to 6pp. – S/. 28 soles, around $10
Mini dorm – up to 4pp. – S/. 32 soles, around $11
Twin – 2 beds – S/. 36 soles, around $12.5
Double ensuite – S/. 42 soles pp, around $14.5
Hilton Suite (king size bed) – S/. 42 soles pp, around $14.5
• All prices are per person per night and include a free continental breakfast and free internet.
• All rooms have shared facilities.
• Airport pickup: This safe and reliable service costs S/. 20 Nuevos Soles (USD$8) per ride. Don’t forget to mention your origin, exact arrival time and flight number!
• Bus terminal pickup: This safe and reliable service costs S/. 7 Nuevos Soles (USD$3) per ride. Don’t forget to mention your bus company, class of transport (Imperial, Economic, Royal Class etc.) and both your departure and arrival time.
WARNING: Taxi drivers in Arequipa might say The Point is full, dirty, closed down etc. None of this is true! These people are only after commissions paid by more expensive hotels. The Point is in the safest area of Arequipa and if you have a reservation we’ll have a bed for you.
