Hostel Celica

Hostel Celica is a former military prison artistically transformed into a youth hostel. It is located in the heart of Ljubljana, just 5-minute walking distance from the main bus and train station. A building that once used to limit people's freedom is now an open multicultural melting pot of travelers and visitors from all over the world. Hostel Celica, which literally means "cell" in Slovene language, welcomes guests of all ages in 20 unique and one of a kind artistic prison cells transformed into hostel rooms with original prison bars on doors and windows.

For more traditional travelers there are comfortable multi-bedded rooms in the attic with unique artistic features. The hostel building is located in a funky artistic area of Ljubljana where artists, musicians and street performers have been gathering in different music clubs of the area and artists' ateliers for decades.
