Seoul Base Camp Hostel is centrally located in the Hongdae district, minutes away from hundreds of bars, restaurants and clubs. We offer the best environment to meet fellow travellers with our huge comfortable common space. Every morning most of our guests join us in the kitchen for fresh waffles.
We are two young Korean guys with a screw driver and a hammer and went to work. We found ourselves in an abandoned 70's dancehall in the middle of Hongdae and started building our hostel. We started from the concept of nomadic life and what it would translate to in an urban setting. Our rooms are canvas tents and we shower in a cave. We created our sofas from wooden cargo pallets and built our own hot tub on the rooftop under the stars.
We believe in serving young people like ourselves who loves to travel and find something different. With our affordable yet comfortable service, we provide the most meaningful stay in Seoul.
