Mellow Mountain Hostel

Hello! We are a hostel out of South Lake Tahoe, a beautiful mountain town with a great big alpine lake in California.

During the winter South Lake Tahoe has some of the best skiing/snowboarding in the world, and during the summer has rock climbing, hiking, fishing, para sailing, jet skiing, kayaking, and mountain biking. The town is not too big and not too small. You can find a Tahoe dive bar, meet some of the locals and drink some delicious California draft beer, or go right across the Nevada state line and party at the casino nightclubs and go see premier shows with some of the most popular artists in the world (seriously, check out some South Lake Tahoe event calendars).

Our hostel is a clean, friendly, and inexpensive place to sleep in a great location. We are centrally located ten minutes walking to the Heavenly Gondola, ten minutes walking to the lake (our guests have access to a private beach), and ten minutes walking to the State line Casinos! All of our dormitory rooms and private rooms are comfortable and cozy. The dormitory style rooms have two bunk beds each (4 people per room unless you rent out the entire room) and every room has it's own bathroom so the room's still feel personal and never overwhelming.

We have a great common room with a balcony that faces the mountains, a nice easy to use kitchen for our guests, table games (pool, Football, etc.), music, comfortable lounge area, and guest computers. We have laundry services, a guest general store for all your basic needs, clean comfy linens & bedding, pet friendly rooms, secure lockers, free fast WiFi, and free parking.
